It's a strange thing, today I reconnected with so many people. My living situation was getting difficult so I went down to Southampton to stay with Jamie for a few weeks. He has a spare room and a small office area where I can work and teach my Zoom classes. I think he gets lonley in this house by himself. While I'm here I can see Amy too, I've missed her so much since I moved to London. I reconnected with Justin last week, he moved back to China at the begining of the pandemic so we don't get the opportunity to speak much. We had arranged to do a Zoom call today at 2pm UK time, he messaged me asking if he could invite Amelia and I was so happy at the thought of seeing both of them! I invited Adriana too to complete the set! It was wonderful to see their beautiful faces today. It was almost as if our little teacher group was back together. We talked for hours. Poor Amelia was so sad though, it's been such a difficult year for her, I wish I could reach into the screen and give her a big hug. After the Zoom call, I was getting ready to go to the pub to meet Amy for a drink and my phone rang. It was Jake! It's been more than three years since I last saw him, he'd found a book I had lent him 10 years ago haha he was calling to get my new address so he could post it to me. I told him I was actually in Southampton at the moment and I was about to go to The Dolphin with Jamie to meet Amy, he should join us! And he did. Amy and Jamie were happy to see him too, he hasn't changed a bit, it must be about 5 or 6 years since we were all together like that. We spent a lot of time catching up and remaniscing about the past, it was lovely. I feel very blessed. I don't have a lot in life, but I do have undeniably great friends, and although life can get in the way sometimes so we don't get to see eachother as much as we would like to, when we finally do see eachother it feels like no time has passed at all!
