1. B - Believe, E - Exercise, F - Forget, A - Active
Learning, S - State, T - Teach
2. information + emotion = Long-term memory
I agree with this concept, for most of us do
things emotionally. To think or to do things
logically seems to be hard or it has to be done
intentionally. However, emotion is just like
something that embeds in our behavioral
patterns. When we talk about certain memory,
it is always the imaginative picture that comes
to our mind firstly. For example, I will never
forget how to present a report in a more
understandable way, for my mentor spared no
effort to teach me all the skills. By that moment,
I was full of happiness and gratitude. How I feel then plays an important role in my memory,
and that is the way I can remember them
everlastingly.
3. The B. E. F. A. S. T. part impresses me the
most. To me, there does not exist a rule to
improve one's memory or enhance learning
efficiency, until I approach this talk. His
"mental" advises help a lot. Believe in yourself,
let your mind leads you, etc, are ways that focus on psychological suggestions. I believe that I
am in the age of not capable of absorbing
a whole new system of memory enhancing. But
mental advises do help.
4. If I could travel back to meet the younger me, I would tell myself to persist in his own
thoughts of life. All this time, my decision of life has to follow my family's expectation. I am not allowed to follow by my heart. I used to think
that this is for my own good. However, now as I grow up, I realize that we are the owners of
ourselves. Even our decisions take risks, it is
still our decision to make. Don't be regretful
after doing something that you don't even trust
on.
5. If I could travel to the future, I would like to know whether my decision over career choice is right or wrong. Now, it's a hard time to choose a job and start preparing for earning that job. I am totally confused about that. I would like to know what will I become, and regard it as a
consultation.
