Hi!
Today is a worrisome day; a tropical storm is currently on landfall, and it's travelling all over the country. Yesterday, it hit Mindanao. It made its way to Visayas, and now it's reached Luzon. I have an assignment due today, and I worked on it as fast (and still as hard) as I can before the deadline. Surprisingly, after an hour when I submitted it, the lights went out. The storm raged outside, and our whole community had a blackout. Mom was worried that my dad wasn't being sent home from work yet, now that the streets have flooded and the rain hasn't ceased for half the day. Our house's small backyard was soaked and everywhere was wet and cold. No lights, no network, no warmth. It's us and our candles lit on some corners of the house. The evening went by, we managed to cook food, and dad came home soaking wet. He told us how he rode his bike from work to our house and that the highway was flooded and traffic was heavy. We had dinner, and after a short while of us finishing our food, the electricity went back on! We immediately checked the news and kept our pets fed and dry. Sadly, just an hour after the electricity went back, it went away as soon as I finished checking our group chat. We're sleeping the night in cold sheets and damp ceilings; I pray to God that all of our fellow countrymen who are also suffering against this calamity that is upon us be guided, protected, rescued, sheltered, and helped. I hope all of us troubled are safe tonight. And to those poor spirits we have lost, I pray for their eternal rest.
=God bless us all.=
